BioI'm this old guy. I love my wife and 5 kids. They make me proud. I make lasers for a living, which is a geek's dream, but it's not really "wowzah" as it might seem: like plumbing, the important things happen where you can't see them, and it only gets exciting when it leaks. The big hobby in the house is music: I play guitars and bass, lute, recorder and viol, my wife plays violin and is taking up cello; the kids play, variously, piano, recorder, and a bit of guitar. Middle kid and I play pennywhistle, and I thump bodhran, but not enough to hurt my reputation as a musician, apparently. There are too many computers in the house, and we're plotting a few more. We have two cats who are in competition and a neurotic dog whose brain is wired like the "Hotel California". I had another live journal and hardly ever posted. Prolly won't post much here, either.
